Middle Front-End developer (JS/React.js)

We are looking for a Middle Front-End developer (JS/React.js) to join our Beam team we built from scratch. This is a hybrid role, based in Johannesburg.

Beam is a startup aspiring to become South Africa’s first Challenger Bureau. Beam provides a comprehensive set of Financial Intelligence tools available to the lending, insurance, telecommunications, BNPL and property markets through a comprehensive set of APIs. Beam’s data-driven, AI-first products provide businesses with credit underwriting, identity management and behavioural insights to make better lending and onboarding decisions.

We are looking for a Middle Front End developer to join our Beam Team! We are seeking a Developer to assist with scaling the product and engineering team. The Beam team is an entrepreneurial start up committed to disrupting the lending and credit vetting space in South Africa. Beam is well-capitalised and well-connected in the telco and banking sectors.

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and help us in the development of Beam. As a member of the core/founding team, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the company’s future and steer product development strategy. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building great products and excited to take on new challenges.






Beam is looking for a driven, independent individual who is able to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. The individual will need to be comfortable operating in a technical role that is able to translate and deliver business requirements to technical specifications.


Summarised requirements are as follows:

●    Minimum Experience: 3 years.
●    Backend: Django, Python.
●    Front end: React, Angular or Vue.
●    Infrastructure: 
          ○    AWS Lambda
          ○    AWS SAM/Cloudformation
          ○    AWS ECS
          ○    MongoDB/PostgreSQL
●    Bonus:
○    If you have experience in the development of  multi-tenant solutions and microservices architecture, that's a big plus!
